Guests Become Chefs During Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes’ crEATe Recipe Contest

Enter your own crEATion for a chance to win meal passes and have your recipe featured in restaurants nationwide!

(SAN DIEGO) October 6, 2009 – Calling all foodies! Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes restaurants are hosting a culinary challenge to find the best recipe guests can crEATe.

Throughout October, guests can submit their recipes for mouth-watering combinations made entirely from Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes menu items, via the Web site, Facebook or by e-mail. Ten finalists will be chosen in November and each will receive meal passes. Guests will be invited to vote on their favorite finalist in December and the winner will be announced in January. The winning recipe and ‘chef’ will win a year’s worth of free passes and the chance to be featured in an upcoming ad.

“At Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes restaurants, our guests are only limited by their imaginations. With a 55 foot salad bar, fresh pasta, soups and breads to play with, guests can create limitless combinations to make their meal their own,” said Joan Scharff, executive director of brand and menu strategy. “We hope everyone will try their hand at preparing a new recipe, we can’t wait to see what our guests create!”

Restaurant guests in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington are invited to participate and must submit their recipe, along with a photo of themselves and their completed dish, by October 31, 2009. Recipes must contain 2 to 5 Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes menu items only, and will be judged on menu and visual appeal, ingredient list, and creativity. Submit your creation and photos online at the www.souplantation.com/create on our Facebook page, or by email at create@gardenfreshcorp.com.
